Master Dougal

Dougal has been my solid rock over the past 10 years that I have known him. He always gives 100% and is willing to please, all in is own laid back way. He is owned by my best friends sister, who in the spring moved and offered him on loan to us.

After having my confidence some what shattered by Bella, Dougal should me what fun horses could be again and has given me a chance to see things from a different point of view.

Although my time is mainly taken up with Bella now, I still ride and Play with Dougal weekly and he continues to be my rock. It has been great watching him explore his personality through the Parelli program. He is now the main partner for my mum who is now dedicated to learning more about Parelli.

Arabella

Bella has been my main equine partner for the past 4 years. I bought her as a 5 month old foal back in Oct 2005. We have had our share of ups and downs but thanks to starting Parelli with her 1.5 years ago we are now on a continual up.

I owe a great deal to Bella as it was her that sent me down this path as she is one of the most challanging, highly sensitive and dominant horses I have ever known, But as a great man says ‘ When the student is ready the teacher will appear’

I want to take this opportunity to thank My parents, Liz, Gill, My partner Jon, and all my close friends and family who have supported me through both the up and the down times. Also to Beth & Terri, and all the Savvy Sussex group for coming to my rescue and supporting me when things went really wrong last spring.

Welcome to my new Blog!

This is a blog of my Parelli Natural Horsemanship Journey. My aim is to become a Parelli Instructor, but I have a long way to go!

I am 26 years old and live in West Sussex, UK. Parelli has been my horsey life for the last 1.5 years and my horses love me for it!

Let me introduce to you my Parelli Partners:


Arabella (my main partner)
Bella is a 4.5 yr old Irish Draft x Thoroughbred Mare that I have owned for the last 4 years. Her horseanality is LBE/LBI. We recently passed our Level one++ online with a few Level 2++! Bella was backed this summer By JAMES ROBERTS (www.jr-foundationstation.co.uk) a 3* Parelli colt starter and Parelli Professional (more on this to follow).

Master Dougal
Dougal is an 14 yr old Irish Cob who is on loan to us from my sister-inlaws sister! He is just starting level one online and level 2 ridden.

So thats us. I will update this as often as I can and will also fill you in on my journey with each horse so far.
