Well I have got a little behind on this lately, but I have been busy!!
Ok, Lets see .....
* Lots of studying and watching videos and Planning our Level two. We even did a trial run but it went to pot so we scrapped that! Gave me a lot to think about though!!
* Quiz Night - Parelli of course! A fantastic quiz run by Beth and Alison. J&L (my tack shop) donated the prizes.
* The 1st Study group . We have set up a small study group locally and we had the 1st meeting the other day. We have set ourselves goals for the new year - one per month.
* Spectated a Level two clinic. This time I went horseless and it was great to be there without her as it gave me a chance to really watch and learn what Terri was teaching as well as giving me an opportunity to practice reading horses that I have never met.
* Teaching. I have started teach my friend riding again and am loving the opportunity to share what I have learnt as well as put them on a path for success.
* NEW TRAILER!!! I sold my lorry and have bought a new Ifor Williams 506 !! Will post pics when it arrives
My Journey with Bella has been one of challenge, despair, great reward and unending love. She has shown me both my strength and weakness. Together we are moving forward, united in trust, her in me and me in her, with a promise of the wonderful adventures that are only limited by our imagination ..... Here's to the Journey!

13/12/09 – UDT with Bella
After a busy day with the Clinic yesterday I decided to just go to the field and spent some Un Divided Time with Bella today. Well I must have done something right yesterday because she galloped across the field calling to me and was at the gate waiting for me before I had even got out of the car …. Now that’s what I call positive feedback!
12/12/09 – Level 2 clinic with Bella
Bella and I ventured out today to our very first Parelli Clinic together. This was a Level 2 Clinic In West Sussex that was being ran By Terri Martinus 2* Parelli Professional.
After lots of worrying on my part as to whether Bella would even load (which she did in about 10 mins flat!) we arrive to a warm welcome by Terri and Beth and the promise of a fun filled day. With the horses settled into there stables we all headed into the classroom for hot drinks and the first theory session of the day.

After a few simulation we went and got the horses for the online session of the day. Bella as predicted came out full of life and energy and quite extroverted. At first I misread this as RB but after she rolled twice I realized she was LB on Adrenalin. We play for just over an hour, learning lots of skills and testing our and our horses thresholds then Terri called lunch.

In the afternoon we did a few more simulations then brought the horses back out for another round of online moving to ridden. Bella was a star all day and did me proud, especially in the riding as I though we would be way behind everyone, but we held our own all day.

If you want to see more pics go to http://www.horleydrc.co.uk/Parelli/Intro.html
Kindly set up by Gill Langridge

6/12/09 - All 4 horseannalites in 15 mins!
Well I thought I would take Bella into the winter field and ride her as it was dryer. Bella obviously though she would show me that I shouldn’t just assume it will be fine as she has been being so good!
In the space of about 15 mins ALL 4 horseanalities had shown up at there extremes! The wild rodeo pony was back!!! BUT I didn’t get scared or panic as a would have done at one time. I simply said, you want to run fast, buck and rear …. Well then LET ME HELP YOU!!!
She soon calmed down and we did some approach and retreat till she was back LB properly.
However I did decided to put the riding on hold for the day and instead I focused on trying to find he thresholds better as I had obviously thrown her over one big-style with out knowing it untill it had happened.
5/12/09 – Horseless Clinic

Me and Mum attended a horseless clinic being run by Parelli Professional Terri Martinus on ‘Leadership’
It was a fantastic day and we all learnt heaps. The simulations where great fun and the day was topped of with a Quiz which the team I was on won. I can away with a whole new understanding to the term ‘being the leader!’
28/11/09 – Stormy Arrives!
Today Storm Arrived! He is on a working holiday with us to ‘remember’ his manners and have some fun till Janie is back to fitness and ready for him back.
Storm (the one on the right hand side) is a 14hh LBI Irish Cob Gelding and is about 9 years old. He is very cleaver and has quite a high play drive …. So we will be having fun over the next few months!
27/11/09 - Lancero 9
I went to see his as he was with an old friend of mine. Well It was love at first sight, but after playing with him I knew he would be perfect for me but to much for mum (and I have enough on my plate with Bella!!). So regrettably we couldn’t buy him. But I couldn’t rest there and set about finding him a Parelli home.
He is now living with a lovely Parelli lady in Wales, so all ended well in the end.

14/11/09 – The onslaught of the storm
Well after a long, wet and windy night I walked down to the field to check the pony's where ok – they were very reactive but fine in themselves. The field however looked like a bomb sight! Barrels had been launched across the field and where now wedged in hedges, then riding arena fencing was down and spread around the field and half the roof of the railway carriage (one of our storage units) was blown off!!
It took several hours to put the field back together again (bar the roof) but at least all the horses where ok.
